The UNITED ARAB EMIRATES  (UAE) consists of seven emirates and was founded on 2 December 1971 as a federation. Six of the seven emirates (Abu DhabiDubaiSharjahAjmanUmm Al Quwain and Fujairah) combined on that date. The seventh, Ras al Khaimah, joined the federation on 10 February 1972. The seven sheikdoms were formerly known as the Trucial States.

PRIME MINISTER AND THE VICE PRESIDENT OF UNITED ARAB EMIRATES AND RULER OF THE EMIRATE OF DUBAI



SHIEK MOHAMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOM  Was born in 15 July 1949.He is the Vice President from(5 January 2006 - present) and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from(11 February 2006 - present) , he is the Minister of Defense from(9 December 1971 - present)and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai (4 January 2006 - present).He oversaw the growth of Dubai into a global city, as well as the launch of a number of major government-owned enterprises including Emirates AirlineDubai port World, and the Jumeirah Group.Sheik Mohammed has overseen the development of numerous projects in Dubai including the creation of a technology park, a free economic zone, Dubai Internet CityDubai Media City, the Dubai International Finance Centre, the Palm Islands and the Burj Al Arab hotel. He also drove the construction of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

THE PRESIDENT OF UNITED ARAB EMIRATES



KHALIFA BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN Was born in 7 September 1948. He is the current de jure president of the United Arab Emirates(From 3 November 2004 - present) ,The supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and the chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council. Sheikh Khalifa is also chairman of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, which manages $875 billion in assets, the largest amount managed by a nation's head of state in the world.
Sheikh Khalifa succeeded his father, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as Emir of Abu Dhabi on 2 November 2004 and became the President of the UAE the next day. As Crown Prince, he had already de facto carried out some aspects of the presidency since the late 1990s while his father was facing health problem's In January 2014, Khalifa suffered a stroke but was in a stable condition. He has since assumed a lower profile in state affairs, but retained ceremonial presidential powers. His half brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan now carries out public affairs of the state and day-to-day decision-making of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

RULER OF THE EMIRATE OF ABU DHABI


Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was  born 11 March 1961.He is the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and the de facto ruler of Abu Dhabi. He is seen as the driving force behind the UAE's interventionist foreign policy and is a leader of a campaign against Islamist movements in the Arab World. In January 2014 Khalifa, the emir of Abu Dhabi, suffered a stroke but was in a stable condition. He has since assumed a lower profile in state affairs, but retained presidential powers. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan now carries out public affairs of the state. Mohamed bin Zayed was entrusted with most day-to-day decision making of the emirate of Abu Dhabi as the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and most of the presidential public affairs of the state and hence, he is sometimes considered as the UAE's de facto ruler.

RULER OF THE EMIRATE OF SHARJAH




SULTHAN BIN MUHAMMAD AL-QASIMI Was born 2 July 1939), also known as Sheikh Sultan III, is the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah and is a member of the Federal Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates. He has ruled Sharjah continuously since January 1972, apart from a six-day period in June 1987, during an attempted coup led by his brother Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi. He is also an established historian and has published several theatrical and literary works.


RULER OF THE EMIRATE OF AJMAN



SHIEK HUMAID BIN RASHID AL NUAIMI III was born in 1931.He is the sovereign ruler of the emirate of Ajman and a member of the UAE Supreme Council of the Union. He is the 10th ruler of Ajman. Humaid bin Rashid succeeded his late father Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi III on September 6, 1981. He previously served as deputy ruler since 1960. Under his reign, the state has seen rapid changes from a small fishing town at the time of independence to a modern emirate.

RULER OF THE EMIRATE OF  RAS AL KHAIMAH



SAUD BIN SAQR AL QASIMI was born 10 February 1956.He is the current Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates.He is the fourth son of Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, his predecessor as the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and UAE Supreme Council Member.Sheikh Saud was appointed Chief of the Ruler's Court to assist his father, Sheikh Saqr, in the administration of the sheikhdom. Sheikh Saud became Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah when his father, Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, unexpectedly dismissed his elder half-brother, Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi on 14 June 2003 for his hostility towards the US-led 2003 invasion of Iraq.

RULER OF THE EMIRATE OF FUJAIRAH



HAMAD BIN MOHAMMED AL SHARQI WAS (born 22 February 1949. He is the ruler of the Emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, one of the principalities which make up the United Arab Emirates. His mother, Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, was a princess of the neighboring Emirate of Ajman; she was the sister of the present ruler of Ajman, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.He has handled the administration of his principality single-handedly since then and also taken on the responsibility of representing the UAE at international and diplomatic engagements. Sheikh Hamad is known to be an eloquent speaker, fluent with both English and Arabic; his education in a British school has proven to be an advantage when dealing with foreign dignitaries and some of the world leaders.

RULER OF THE EMIRATE UMM AL QUWAIN





SHIEK SAUD BIN RASHID AL MUALLA WAS born 1 October 1952.He is the ruler and head of state of the emirate of Umm Al Quwain since 2009 and a member of the Federal Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates. He is the son of Rashid bin Ahmad Al Mualla II and succeeded his father as monarch of Umm Al Quwain on 2 January 2009.He was appointed to the United Arab Emirates foreign ministry in 1973 and seconded at the Umm Al Quwain Amiri court. He was appointed Commander of the Umm Al Quwain Amiri guard in 1977. In 1979, he was appointed chief of the Umm Al Quwain Amiri court (Diwan) and became crown prince in 1982.
